Carolina Sound Committee
A Jazz & Variety band in the Raleigh, NC area delivering a blend of Jazz and Variety through a high-level of energy and musicianship. The band has an impressive reputation of performing jazz classics both instrumental and songs sung by the charming Elle.
Church Street Jazz
Church Street Jazz was formed from a group of musicians that met every week in a practice room on Church Street in Morrisville, NC. Over the past few years, the band has brought their selections of jazz standards, swing, and blues to local festivals, art events, cafes and bars around the Triangle.
Glenn Jones is a talented songwriter/performer/multi-instrumentalist (guitar and electric bass) from Chapel Hill, North Carolina. He has played in bands up and down the east coast for decades. In 2015, he moved back home to his beloved NC, and took the plunge as a full time songwriter. He has found his voice in songs of love, loss, drinking, and the quirks of modern life. His style tends toward alt-country – Guy Clark, Kris Kristofferson, and Steve Earle are strong influences – but bluesy elements abound, and the old rock and roller struggles to get out, and sometimes succeeds. His humor, and belting soulful voice are his trademarks.
