At the 2008 Mid-Atlantic Southeastern
Wine Competition,
Chatham Hill Winery won the following
medals:
2005 Chardonnay (gold),
2005 Merlot (bronze),
2006 Viognier (bronze),
Sweet Carolina Peach (gold), and
Sweet Carolina Pomegranate (silver).

Our
2003 Cabernet Sauvignon
received the Silver Medal and our
Sweet Carolina Blackberry grabbed the Bronze
at the 2008
International Eastern Wine Competition. One of
the oldest and largest competitions in the United States, this event is held
each May in the Finger Lakes region of New York, topping over 2,100 entries in
recent years with wines from 16 countries and 34 states. The IEWC has earned a
well-justified reputation for the quality of its organization, judgments and
awards. Wines in any given flight may be
entered from around the world. Judges are wine-knowledgeable
professionals, media specialists, and winemakers who represent major east coast
markets from Miami to Toronto. Bronze medals require a unanimous panel vote for
bronze, so any winning medals in the IEWC are worthy of merit.
The 2008 Atlantic Seaboard Wine Competition
awarded Chatham
Hill Winery a silver medal for its
2005 Merlot
and a bronze medal for
its
2006 Cabernet Sauvignon.
The competition focuses on the vinifera varietal wines produced in the Atlantic
Seaboard states from grapes grown on the East Coast.
Our
2005 Chardonnay
and
2005 Zinfandel earned silver and bronze medals,
respectively, at the 2008 Indy International Wine
Competition in Indianapolis. The annual event is one of the nation's
largest wine competitions.

Both our
2003 Cabernet Sauvignon
and 2005 Chardonnay
earned two medals at the 2008 Grand Harvest
Awards held in Santa Rosa (Sonoma County), California. Grand Harvest
Awards is a unique
wine competition in that the wines are judged in the context of the
region in which they were produced. The goal of this competition is to identify
the finest examples from each viticultural region and to acknowledge the
influence of terroir in wine quality.
Our
2005 Riesling and
2005 Zinfandel received the Silver Medal, while
our 2003 Cabernet Sauvignon
won the Bronze Medal at the 2008 Finger Lakes International
Wine Competition.
Our
2004 Merlot won the
Silver Medal, while our 2005
Chardonnay and
Sweet Carolina
Pomegranate
won the Bronze at the 2007 Wines of the South
Wine Competition in Knoxville, Tennessee.
Wines of the South is an annual regional
wine competition designed to promote and celebrate the great tastes of
Southern vintages. Southern wineries have a unique venue in which they can
compare, compete, and promote one another’s winemaking art.

Our
2005 Merlot won the
Bronze Medal at the 2007 San Francisco International
Wine Competition-- which is the largest and most prestigious
wine competition in America. The judging was
held in the Hotel Nikko in San Francisco on June 15-17, 2007.
Our
2005 Chardonnay received the Bronze Medal at
the International Eastern Wine Competition.

at the 2006 Wines of the South Wine
Competition.
Our Sweet Carolina
Blackberry won the Concordance Gold Medal and our
Sweet Carolina Peach
earned the Silver Medal at the 2005 Wines of the South
Wine Competition.

Our 2002 Cabernet Sauvignon
won the Best of Category award at the 2006 Atlantic Seaboard Vinifera
Wine Competition held in Lansdowne Resort in
Leesburg, VA--while our 2004
Merlot was awarded a Silver Medal and our
2003 Chardonnay earned a Bronze Medal. These
wines were competing against the best East Coast wines including Cabs from many
famous wineries in New York and Virginia.
The objective of
the competition is to focus on the increasing quality of wines made from
vinifera (European) grapes on the East Coast, and to gain greater public
awareness and consumer appreciation of the wines being produced in this region.
Our
2003 Pinot Noir and
2003 Viognier also won a Silver and Bronze Medal,
respectively, at last year's competition.
